Watergate - the last word

So now we know who the mysterious "Deep Throat" is. to my amazement, he is not some porno star, but this is not the point.

The point is, what should we think of the man? I guess that depends on who you ask.

Obviously, Nixon suckholes do not like the man. They have called him a "trator" and "un honorable". Of course, this came from a man who served JAIL TIME for being on the the burgulars. But yet here this law breaker is, on TV, given credibility as someone we should listen to. HE IS A FRIGGIN BURGULAR! Someone who breaks into property that does not belong to him and steals stuff!

What I find amusing is that people who lean in one direction politically are all saying bad things about the man. But what did he do, other than leak to some reporters that the president was involved in a crime? If Nixon had never hired goons to break into the democrat headquarters in the Watergate Hotel, NONE OF THIS would have happened. Had Nixon played by the rules, he would have likely won the election. But he choose to break the law, and I mean obviously break the law (try to find people who follow the law that will agree burgularly is OK) - then cover it up. I can understand the cover up part, but not the "hey lets break into this office and steal stuff" part. It was very stupid, and showed just how paranoid the man was. Most political experts at the time agreed that he would have won the election - the democrats had no strong candidates. But we really did not need such a dumb paranoid man as a two term president anyway. Of course, Carter was no winner either - although he did beat Ford. But at least he was smart enough to not try to break into the republican party HQ when he ran against Ronnie Ray-Gun. And in 84, Reagan knew he was going to win another term, so he did not feel the paranoid need to try and spy on Mondale. Everyone knew Mondale was going to loose.

So there you go. If you are a right wing Nixon suck-hole on TV, cut it out! Your man brought all his troubles on himself. He decided to go along with the break in. He decided to TAPE EVERYTHING, leaving a nice trail of evidence. He was the one who decided to hire goons who botched the job (if I were president, I would have got agents from the CIA or NSA to do the dirty work). Had could have won a second term, there was no reason to hire goons to break into anything.

All Deep Throat did was spill the beans. And for this, he is blasted by the right wing. Meanwhile, not a single right wing Nixon suck-hole will admit that their man did anything at all wrong.
